Syscoin Foundation Budget Proposal – Renewal (Next 6 Months)

This proposal outlines the continued responsibilities and funding requirements of the Syscoin Foundation for the next 6-month period. The Foundation remains the official legal entity representing the Syscoin project in matters requiring legal, regulatory, or institutional engagement. Its role is critical to ensuring the long-term integrity, compliance, and legitimacy of the ecosystem.

As a non-profit, the Foundation provides legal structure and strategic oversight, enabling external partnerships and protecting the project from legal and regulatory risk. It does not participate in day-to-day operations but instead supports contributors like SMT by ensuring all efforts are backed by a compliant framework.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Exchange Listings – Supporting and maintaining CEX listings and acting as the official liaison when required.

  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance – Managing legal obligations, ensuring alignment with global standards, and defending the ecosystem from external risks.

  • Representation – Acting as the formal voice of the Syscoin ecosystem in all legal and institutional engagements.

  • Strategic Oversight – Ensuring ecosystem efforts align with the mission and values outlined in the Foundation’s statutes.

Budget Requirements

The Foundation operates lean but incurs necessary legal, compliance, and entity maintenance costs. These include legal retainers, documentation, advisory services, and core compliance functions.

Over the past year, the Foundation was involved in legal and litigation proceedings related to the attempted coup. To protect the project and maintain continuity during this period, board members personally funded critical legal expenses.

These loans will begin to be repaid if/when market conditions allow.

Current Outstanding Loans:

Jag:
• 2,830,079 SYS
• $149,135 USDT

Chris:
• 2,135,000 SYS
• $68,775 USDT

These loans have been essential to keeping the Foundation functional during periods of underfunding and will be repaid over time as the budget permits.

Funding Request for Next 6 Months:
350,000 SYS

The Syscoin Foundation will continue to provide the legal and structural backbone that enables public-facing teams to build with confidence. With community support, we will remain compliant, exchange-ready, and positioned for growth.
