Hello,
I have Syscoin Core (64-bit) Version 4.2.0
My computer crashed and now my wallet won’t update properly. It is stuck at two weeks ago (I haven’t had time to address this issue since then).
When I click on Wallet Repair, I receive the error message: Cannot obtain a lock on data directory C:\users\John\App Data\Roaming\Syscoin. Syscoin Core is probably already running.
I found this posting which explains how to add a line to the configuration file to remedy this problem:
Should I do this for my wallet. Is it safe to do so and will it work?
Or is there something else that I should do?
I am a Syscoin neophyte, so any assistance in resolving this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
John
PS: Or should I reinstall the 4.20 version of my wallet by clicking on the exe file I have?
Or even better, should I just upgrade to the 4.3 version of the wallet, which I have already downloaded? I assume I just click on the exe file to do this and that I don’t need to do anything else?
Would that solve the syncing problem and would my coins be safe and intact when I do this? I don’t want to lose my coins. I have saved the wallet dat file in a number of separate locations.
Thanks for any help or suggestions anyone can offer!
