Overview
This proposal secures funding to sustain Syscoin’s operational backbone for six months as we scale into the zkSYS and EdgeChain era. It covers critical infrastructure, engineering, coordination, and community-facing functions delivered by the Syscoin Management Team (SMT).
With the launch of zkSYS, Syscoin’s modular stack is ready to scale real-world applications. All forward development, integration, and promotional efforts will center on zkSYS as our flagship execution layer. This proposal ensures the core engine that maintains, promotes, and grows the ecosystem stays active through this next build cycle.
Strategic Objectives
- Maintain uninterrupted infrastructure uptime across Rollux and zkSYS
- Migrate dApps, developers, and partners to zkSYS
- Accelerate onboarding of dApps, partners, and exchanges
- Reinforce public narrative around PoW-secured modular rollups
- Sustain operational efficiency across all SMT departments

- Uptime and observability for RPC endpoints, explorers, sequencers

Syscoin Technical & Ecosystem Team
- Maintaining UTXO and EVM core infrastructure
- QA, documentation, and developer-facing support
- Coordinating testnet updates, protocol releases, and hackathons
- Ongoing support for SuperDapp, Luxy, Pegasys deployments
Developers (Protocol, Rollups, Bridges, Tooling)
- zkSYS rollup optimizations and appchain support
- ZK bridge engineering (Bitcoin Bridge, Robin Bridge)
- BitVM contract implementation
- Sentry node buildout and LLM tooling integration
Marketing & PR
- Ecosystem-wide narrative around zkSYS and EdgeChains
- Content production (graphics, threads, videos, press)
- Partner campaigns and product launch coordination
- Incentives, quests, and community activation
Business Development & Ecosystem Expansion
- Onboarding builders to zkSYS or EdgeChains
- Exchange, custody, and wallet integrations
Strengthening institutional and mining relationships - Vetting partners and improving project retention

Expansion Contingency
If SYS price improves materially during the 6-month cycle, SMT will restore contributor compensation to original levels as soon as feasible, while remaining within the current budget envelope.
In addition, any surplus SYS resulting from price appreciation will be reserved for:
- Ecosystem expansion and increased contributor capacity
- Liquidity incentives and enhanced marketing efforts
- Conference participation and event presence, including sending a small team to represent Syscoin at high-profile industry events such as Token 2049
If price drastically increases within this period, we will put in a new proposal and budget on if/how these funds will be spent.

This proposal continues a proven operations model while pivoting to the next frontier zkSYS and modular EdgeChains. It ensures uninterrupted support across all essential SMT functions and lays the foundation for rapid, secure expansion.
We request the community’s support to extend SMT operations for six months. This will keep the engine running while we scale what Syscoin has built; a secure, modular infrastructure for Bitcoin’s future.
