This proposal outlines the structure, responsibilities, and funding requirements for the operational teams and core services that keep the Syscoin ecosystem running. It highlights current operational needs, ongoing responsibilities, and the long-term vision for ecosystem growth and adoption.

Syscoin Marketing and Management Team (SMT)

The Syscoin Marketing and Management Team (SMT) is the group responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Syscoin ecosystem. For over seven years, SMT has played a central role in shaping the project—helping it grow from its early beginnings into the robust, modular, and Bitcoin-secured platform it is today.

The team covers a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Core Development – maintaining and evolving the Syscoin protocol and infrastructure to support long-term scalability, performance, and security.
  • Ecosystem & Product Support – building tools for developers, helping projects integrate, and supporting real-world use cases.
  • Marketing & Communications – managing Syscoin’s brand, raising awareness, and engaging with the broader community.
  • Business Development – building partnerships and helping expand Syscoin’s presence across industries.
  • Operational Execution – keeping things moving by coordinating timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional efforts.

SMT operates independently from the Syscoin Foundation but shares the same long-term vision for the ecosystem. The team’s focus is on execution—turning ideas into outcomes and making sure the ecosystem keeps progressing.

Budget Overview

The current budget is what’s needed to keep things running. It covers the essentials—servers, developers, basic marketing, infrastructure, and the management needed to hold it all together. It’s lean, but it’s enough to keep the momentum going without losing stability.

That said, we’re not just here to maintain—we’re building toward growth. The next phase is all about driving adoption, especially around ZKSYS, through stronger marketing, new partnerships, and more active community engagement. To do that properly, we’ll need more resources. That’s part of the roadmap, and we’re preparing for it step by step.

To keep things transparent, we’ll also share a simple breakdown of where the budget goes—covering high-level categories like infrastructure, development, management, marketing, and community.

We sincerely appreciate the continued support from the Syscoin Community. We’re committed to maintaining operations as efficiently as possible despite a limited budget. Currently, funding falls short of actual needs, so we’ve implemented cost-saving measures, and some contractors have voluntarily paused compensation to help sustain the Syscoin Ecosystem.

This proposal focuses on maintaining stability in the present while strategically positioning for significant future growth.

With the current price it unfortunately falls short of what is required to maintain the current status, therefore we are asking for 1,800,000 Syscoin and the remaining amount will be covered by Team Members until such a time that this loan can be repaid in further governance proposals.
