How to verify yourself on Discord as a SentryNode owner

:white_check_mark: Why verify your Discord user as a Syscoin SentryNode owner?

Verifying yourself as a Syscoin SentryNode owner will grant you access to exclusive channels, where you’ll be in direct contact not only with the Syscoin team but also with other committed, high-level holders who, like you, have taken on the role of SentryNode operators. This verification strengthens your position within the ecosystem by highlighting your contribution to network security and giving you access to exclusive areas for SentryNode operators.

:locked_with_pen: Will my role as a SentryNode owner be publicly exposed?

The short answer is no.

During the verification process, no visible Discord role system is used that others can view on your profile. Instead, a bot-based verification method is employed, which internally assigns the necessary permissions to access the restricted channels. This process is discreet and does not leave any public indicator visible.

Only the Syscoin team (who have access to all channels) and other verified SentryNode operators (who share access to the same private spaces) will know you’re part of the group.

:gear: How do I verify my Discord user as a SentryNode owner?

First – :warning: Don’t skip this section under any circumstance!

Read it carefully — we mean it.

Second – Get your CollateralTXID

  • In QT, go to the Send section and click on inputs.
  • In the next window, expand the transaction that contains the Collateral, and right-click on the 100000 amount shown. Then select “Copy transaction ID and output index” from the dropdown menu.
  • This will copy something like b551415a54bc7fc3c97fb1735d229be33a7b0a90beadef061b68897507cb0e8b:0
  • From the copied text, the CollateralTXID corresponds to everything before the final colon and any characters that follow. According to the above example, the CollateralTXID would be b551415a54bc7fc3c97fb1735d229be33a7b0a90beadef061b68897507cb0e8b

Third – Send the commands to the SNOV Bot (Sentry Node Owner Verificator)

  • Send the command !help in a DM (direct message) to the SNOV Bot. You’ll find the bot among the user list in the ❓│sentry-node-holder-faq Discord channel.
  • After receiving the command, the bot will provide all the steps you need to follow — but we’ll explain them here as well.
  • The first verification command you’ll need to use is !getMessage along with the CollateralTXID you obtained in step two of this guide.
  • Example: !getMessage b551415a54bc7fc3c97fb1735d229be33a7b0a90beadef061b68897507cb0e8b
  • If the command was correct, you’ll receive a Success! response along with the next steps in the process.
  • The next command the SNOV Bot will request is signmessage, followed by several parameters.
    — Copy the complete signmessage command provided by the SNOV Bot and send it via the QT console; you’ll receive a response text that you’ll need for the next and final step:
    • Example:
      photo_2025-07-24_20-50-34
  • Finally, the bot will need to verify the signature generated in the previous step using the !verify command.
    — Copy the command sent by the bot in its last message, and replace the last parameter signedMessage with the QT console response you received in the previous step.
    • Example: !verify b551415a54bc7fc3c97fb1735d229be33a7b0a90beadef061b68897507cb0e8b IBdGmDoPYS6umjkJL0161H0zYYMlkyQbFUfXhu10hki/fpQwD7FTPBZJwZF2DwwoEJzcbIL01w1k88=
  • If the command is correct, the SNOV Bot will reply with the result.
  • If the verification was successful, you’ll receive a DM message saying: Success!, and you’ll also be mentioned on the exclusive channel 👑│sentry-node-holders welcoming you.

:red_question_mark:Frequently Asked Questions:

  • If I lose access to my Discord account and want to verify a new one, what should I do?
    • Simply go through the verification process with your new user. When a user completes the verification, the Bot will automatically remove the verification from the previous account associated with that SentryNode.
